Senior Manager, Cultural Property

The role:

Arts Council’s Museums and Cultural Property team supports the strategic development of museums and works with the cultural sector in securing, sustaining, preserving, advocating for and enabling access to collections in support of Arts Council’s Strategy Let’s Create!.

These include providing the Government Indemnity and security advice services to support museums borrowing items for exhibitions. You will be joining us at exciting period of change as we continue to transform our processes to ensure we can continue to deliver a effective and efficient stakeholder-focussed service.

This is a shared post. The other post holder holds responsibility for the line management and day-to-day programme oversight, including the Acceptance in Lieu Panel. We are looking for a proactive individual who can work alongside the existing post-holder and team to undertake a number of strategic projects that will develop the service and support the introduction of a new business system – with a particular focus on the Government Indemnity and security advice services. The post-holder will also be expected to contribute to the broader work programme of the Arts Council and the Museums and Cultural Property Team. 

Requirements:

Stakeholder-focussed, you will have strong project management experience, analytical skills and demonstrable success in developing and implementing systems and practice to delivering complex work programmes, meeting tight deadlines while remaining calm under pressure. You will enjoy supporting a team to succeed and deliver, while also working with the Director to modernise our processes and ways of working.
