The role:

The Consumer Products Division’s mission is universal: to offer the best in cosmetics innovation to the greatest number of people on every continent. Its brands are available in all mass-market channels (hypermarkets, supermarkets, pharmacy’s and retail stores). The division is the spearhead of the group’s quest to win over a further billion consumers. The Consumer Products Division includes popular brand such as L’Oréal Paris, NYX, Mixa, Garnier, Maybelline & Essie.

You will:

  • Aim to achieve sales targets through ‘bricks’ retailers

  • Aim to achieve brand conso targets through building differentiated shopper-centric account strategies as well as owning the shopper journey and driving success of shopper marketing

  • Need to develop the strategy and prepare for key meetings through: preparing and attending Trade Days, establishing product hierarchy for brand, achieving growth in Retail, driving an increase in shopper marketing, developing and sharing shopper insight, working closely with the Online Brand Manager to provide a single retail view of category performance and translating activation by Retailers

  • Report and manage the campaign by delivering weekly EPOS and updating the team on performance by category (sell out tracking)

  • Be producing market share notes to Zone/DMI (Sell out tracking)

  • Need to manage people specifically managing subcontracts

  • Be required to merchandise through owning overall merchandising for new products in bricks channels, driving shopper and retailer differentiation and managing the brand merchandising budget

You have: 

  • Consistent strong performance and results in previous roles

  • Able to work cross-functionally at all levels

  • Has demonstrated leadership capability (not necessarily people management)

  • Previous experience in consumer role is desirable

  • Minimum 3 years previous business experience

  • Demonstrated strong commercial acumen in previous roles

  • Credible in front of Trade
