SHEQ Coordinator (Part Time)

BHID Group is the UK’s leading fitted furniture company with more than 25 years’ experience in delivering the top quality, bespoke service that our discerning clients demand.

We are seeking to recruit a SHEQ Coordinator to join our busy Safety and Standards team on a permanent, part time basis. Reporting to the Group SHEQ & Facilities Manager and working alongside other colleagues throughout the department and business, you will be responsible for various safety and standard related tasks, amongst other administrative tasks within the department when required.

This is the ideal role for somebody seeking to gain experience in Safety and Standards or somebody starting in the field, such as recent graduates or similarly skilled individuals. Prior knowledge or experience is advantageous but not necessary as full training will be given. High standards of professionalism, a willingness to engage and learn on the job and a drive to succeed in a customer-focused manufacturing environment is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly compliance checks - legionella testing; racking inspection; fire alarm testing; pumphouse (sprinkler) testing;

  • Facilitate external statutory inspection i.e. LEV testing; PAT testing facilitate maintenance;

  • Co-ordinating PPE throughout the site;

  • Co-ordinating maintenance issue;

  • Co-ordinating waste collections;

  • Undertake ad-hoc projects related to the role;

  • Complete administrative tasks when required.

You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft, particularly Excel, and have strong attention to detail. You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.

The successful candidate will work every Thursday and Friday, 7.30am until 4.00pm.
