LSE Student Counselling Service wishes to recruit a Counsellor to provide 1:1 counselling to staff and students. The Counsellor would undertake individual counselling and training with staff and students in this busy and well-respected multi-disciplinary Counselling Service.
In summary, the job involves:
Provision of clinical assessment and counselling to LSE staff/students at all levels.
Offer of expert counselling input to clients of the service, involving short term counselling (6 session model).
Ability to run groups and workshops for staff/ students
Working in liaison with other colleagues involved in student and staff mental health and wellbeing across LSE
Candidates must be Accredited/ Registered with BACP/ UKCP/ HPC/ BABCP/ BPS/ BPC as a Counsellor/ Psychotherapist/ Counselling Psychologist or equivalent and have substantial post training experience (5+ years). The post holder must be able to work on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and until 7.30 pm on Monday or Tuesday through a staggered work pattern. Salary from £46,100 to £53,295 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £59,354pa inclusive London allowance pro-rated pro rata to 21 hours per week.
This is a part time appointment for 21 hours with working days Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
