These eleven-month placements are for students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree. You’ll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. So you’ll get a good insight into working life at PwC.

Operate

Operate is PwC’s operational delivery business. We help some of the world’s biggest brands when they need more than just advice. We deliver large scale, challenging projects for our clients, combining operational disciplines, technology, subject matter expertise and top talent to help them deal with a range of issues.

 

The majority of our work is delivered from our purpose built delivery centre in Belfast although we also deliver client work from their premises. Operate’s teams are currently

  • Helping compensate customers affected by mortgage miscalculations and other financial product mis-selling

  • Helping banks fight financial crime

  • Supporting large change and transformation programmes

  • Ensuring regulated businesses protect customer data

  • Getting businesses through Brexit by helping their employees obtain permanent residency.

What you’ll do

Life at Operate is fast-paced and client-focused. If you’re a natural problem solver, capable of using your judgement to help our clients stay on the right side of regulation. You’ll

  • Experience working on-site at our clients’ offices or at a PwC location performing operational and implementation activities

  • Support clients to navigate complex operational and regulatory activities

  • Undergo continuous development through the Skills Academy at Operate.

What you’ll need

  • You’ll need to be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1 based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study

  • You'll need to be a second year undergraduate university student on a four-year degree expecting to do a work placement in your third year

What you need to get in

  • Be on track for a 2 1 degree or above in any degree discipline.

  • Be on a four-year degree programme that features a sandwich placement element

  • Outstanding potential takes many forms and academic success is just one measure. Do you need sponsorship to work in the UK?

We can't provide sponsorship for internships and fixed-term placements. However, if you're in full-time education in the UK under the Tier 4 (General) category, current regulations may permit temporary employment during holiday periods or as part of your studies. If you're studying outside the UK, you'll need to obtain your own right to work in the UK to undertake a placement with us.
